Its 2010!
Christmas was wonderful, up in Canada with the Fam! Favorites of the season: all the little people, all the not-so-little people, caroling, and light seeing.
New Years was fun. I went to a dance. It was so great to see old friends and make new ones.
So my 5th semester at BYU-Idaho begins! I'm really excited for my classes! Here they are: The science of Light and Sound, Understanding DNA, American Literature - Realism and Modern, Old Testament, Intro to Architecture/Landscape Design, and University Choir! It'll be busy!
Here's a few favorite songs for the month: I hope these links work.
Kenneth Cope's "Broken"

Kenneth Cope's "Come to Jesus"

and, not the same caliber as the others, but a good song:
Josh Groban's "With You"

Shelyse Just GRADUATED!!
As for me, I will arise early tomorrow morning and run 10 km as part of a relay team for our towns annual First of July 10 km road race. Exciting! A little nerve racking, I'm the starter for the team, so I'll have to push it for the first 2 km. It'll be good!
For anyone who's interested, check out www.danielbeckmusic.com. Amazing voice, exceptional individual. Its always nice to know that the person you're listening to actually lives a life as good as the music they sing.
Goodnight, I love you all!

It's a MIRACLE!!
So, I'm home in Canada! The plan is to be here until September, when I will head down to Rexburg again!! So far I have had a blast falling through my brother's trampoline, setting the alarm off at my dad's place of business, and cracking a rotten egg into the fry pan.
I wish I had pictures! But KK has my camera in the states.
I wish a wonderful day to any who may see this!
Til later..

These are the Days!
Wow! I am learning so much! We are heading for the 2nd coming quicker than many realize! And I've learned more about the meaning of the "carnal security" it talks of in the Book of Mormon. In a broad sense, it means trusting in the arm of flesh, but more specifically it refers to the media - not portraying what really is, but trying to shape our perception of reality so that we think there is nothing wrong. Unfortunately, unless we awake to a sense of our awful situation, we will find ourselves in worse than just an awful situation.I like this quote I found, and would recommend reading D&C 134!
The Church seeks for truth as its standard and stands for freedom of the individual, the rule of law, and for justice. Section 134 of the Doctrine and Covenants sets forth a Declaration of Belief concerning governments and laws in general [D&C 134]. The Declaration, written in 1835, contains principles that merit constant reference in weighing speeches, policies, and pamphlets of the day.
