These are the Days!

Wow! I am learning so much! We are heading for the 2nd coming quicker than many realize! And I've learned more about the meaning of the "carnal security" it talks of in the Book of Mormon. In a broad sense, it means trusting in the arm of flesh, but more specifically it refers to the media - not portraying what really is, but trying to shape our perception of reality so that we think there is nothing wrong. Unfortunately, unless we awake to a sense of our awful situation, we will find ourselves in worse than just an awful situation.

I like this quote I found, and would recommend reading D&C 134!

The Church seeks for truth as its standard and stands for freedom of the individual, the rule of law, and for justice. Section 134 of the Doctrine and Covenants sets forth a Declaration of Belief concerning governments and laws in general [D&C 134]. The Declaration, written in 1835, contains principles that merit constant reference in weighing speeches, policies, and pamphlets of the day.

Busy, busy!

Things are great! Work is crazy. We've got tons of calling out about Bill C-51, and more and more calling in about it. This is a serious movement in Canada now to stop this thing, and I'm proud to be a part of the movement!
Feel free to visit http://www.stopc51.com/ to see what its all about and what can be done!

Back in Canada!

Mom, Dad, Shelyse, Joseph and I had an enjoyable trip back home on Saturday. The roads were bad, but Dad's a good driver and we were blessed with safety. We came home to baby Evan Lloyd, who is SO adorable, and were greeted the next morning by precious little Abigail Karissa! Congratulations Jeff & Kim, and Lan & Brenna! I volunteer myself as a babysitter to you and all who live in Raymond!
Its good to be home again, but I feel like I left home! I miss and love all of you! Cam and Em and KK - thanks again for everything you did for me last semester. You did more than you know!
This summer I will be working at Truehope, going to the YSA ward in Lethbridge, and hopefully having some summer fun outside once the snow leaves!
Some of my goals are to read "Jesus the Christ", do some family history, and attend a Vocal Workshop and competition in Utah at the end of June. I'm pretty excited!
I love you all! Have a wonderful day!
